KATRA, June 6: GRP Katra handed over a bag containing Rs 20410 in cash, currency notes worth $ 50 (Australian dollar) and other valuable items to the owner, who had lost the same in the train Shree Shakti Express, coach number A-5.
A complaint was lodged by the owner, namely Major Tarun V Pillai C/o JAG, Branch Hqrs. Northern Command C/O 56 APO (Udhampur) at Police Station GRP Katra that he was travelling in the said train and while deboarding at Udhampur Station, he left his bag containing valuable items in the train.
On this a strenuous effort has been made by GRP Katra and the said bag was recovered in coach number 5 of Shree Shakti Express. After verification and completing all the legal formalities, the SHO handed over the bag to the owner under the supervision of SDPO Railways Katra and SSP Railways Katra, Ranjit Singh Sambyal.
