GRP recovers drugs worth Rs 7 lakh

JAMMU, Oct 3: The Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu today claimed to have recovered 7 kilograms of ganja like banned narcotic substance worth Rs 7 lakh in the drug market.
Accordingly, a case FIR number 10/2024 under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station GRP Kathua and further investigation taken up.
A GRP official said that the backward and forward linkages of the case are being investigated to find the source of the banned drug.
According to him, this was the ninth case of seizure of banned drugs by GRP Jammu in the last two months.
The market price of the seized drugs so far is around Rs 1 crore and 4 lakh, he said.
