NEW DELHI: As the Goods and Services Tax(GST) completes one month of being in at midnight today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the ‘one nation one tax’ as a ”historic achievement”, which has brought down prices and created a new trust between the customer and the trader.
”The smooth implementation of the GST is a new height of success, which should be a case study for world universities, as I see that it is one month of its coming into force and its positive impact was being seen,” the Prime Minister said in his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat Radio’ programme on the All India Radio.
He said getting the one nation one tax regime in a country of a billion plus people was a matter of great pride and satisfaction for him and for all citizens of the country, and it would become a model for the whole world. (AGENC
