Guar gum futures up on export demand

NEW DELHI, May 14: Guar gum prices went up by Rs 29 to Rs 8,325 per quintal in futures trading today  as participants accumulated fresh positions amid a firm trend at the spot markets on rising export demand.
Marketmen said rise in guar gum prices at futures trade was mostly attributed to raising of bets by investors, triggered by a firm trend at the physical markets on the back of export demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum to be delivered this month gained Rs 29 or 0.35 per  cent to Rs 8,325 per quintal, with an open interest of 660 lots.
Guar gum for the most-traded delivery in June contracts also looked up by Rs 28 or 0.33 per cent to Rs 8,452 per quintal, open interest stood of 57,575 lots. (PTI)
