Guar gum futures fall on weak export demand

NEW DELHI, July 12: Guar gum prices receded by Rs 32 to Rs 8,887 per quintal in futures trade today on liquidation of bets by investors dampened by downbeat physical sentiments amid sluggish export demand.
Market players mentioned the downfall in guar gum  futures prices to lower physical market sentiments and muted export demand for oil drilling industries.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchanges, guar gum delivery for October slipped by Rs 32, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 8,887 per quintal, with an open interest of 56,400 lots.
Also, the July delivery eased by Rs 28, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 8,672 per quintal, with an open interest of 5,735 lots. (PTI)
