POONCH, June 25: Sham-sher Hakla Poonchi a prominent Gujjar leader and intellectual of the State today appealed to the militants and misguided youth to declare ceasefire on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr, so that people may celebrate Eid peacefully.
Addressing a gathering of youth here, today, he said that the people of State have seen lot of bloodshed over the years due to turmoil and Pak sponsored terrorism. The State people suffered a lot on account of the same and economy also got a setback.
He said the recent killings have shocked the peace loving people and it will lead the people no where except the destruction and devastation.
He said holy month of Ramadhan teaches us the self restraint and self control besides humanity, peace and brotherhood are messages of the Islam and Prophet Mohammad.
Hakla, while greeting people on Eid said the holy festival comes with a message of happiness for all of us and we instead of hatred should share joy with the people and resolve to end the present bloodshed once for all.
He expressed the hope and prayed that Allah the Almighty may bring peace, progress and Joy to the State on this auspicious day.
