KUPWARA, Nov 16:  President Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha Ishfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal has strongly criticized all the political parties of the State including ruling as well as opposition for deliberately ignoring the Gujjars second largest community of the State while announcing the names of the candidates for the ensuing Legislative Council elections to be held on 3rd December under Panchayat quota.
In a statement issued here today said that main political parties like National Conference, Congress, PDP and all other main stream parties have always ignored the big chunk of State’s population by denying the due share to Gujjars and Bakerwals in all the fields including political and developmental fronts.
Poswal has appealed all the Panchs and Sarpanchs of Gujjar communities and all the other tribes to untidily face the challenge and teach a befitting lesson to all political parties by electing right persons for their representation and by fully taking part in the forthcoming elections.
He said that Gujjar Mahasabha will launch a campaign in favour of the candidates of its choice and motivate the Panchs and Sarpanchs belonging to Gujjar community in particular and all the other tribes of the State in general to vote in favour of such candidates who full fill their aspirations.
