GULMARG, Dec 6: DPN President, Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that Gulmarg Constituency is being developed as a modal constituency of the State for which initiatives have already been taken to upgrade its all round facilities.
DPN president said this in a mega public rally in his constituency today. Appealing the voter to vote for development, Mir said that for upgradation of its facilities some mega projects have been taken for last so many years which include up gradation of road communication, heath, PHE, Education, power facilities in every area of the Gulmarg besides harnessing the tourism potential of its adjacent areas. He said that completion of Narbal – Tangmarg four lane road has opened new vistas to business community besides providing ample job opportunities to the youths of the area.
DPN President said in education and health sector, health institutions and schools have been setup in every nook and corner to provide the facilities to the people at their door step. He said in power sector various receiving stations and grid station have also been opened to provide electricity to the people besides various new PHE schemes were launched in previous years and after completion of these schemes, the people of the Constituency would get adequate water supply. DPN Patron said tourism is one of the vital sectors, which has a potential to make the State economically vibrant, if investment is made as per demands of international standards.
He said with setting up of tourist development authorities across the State by the present government, a uniform fund distribution has been made available for creating tourism infrastructure in these various tourism authorities.
DPN president said that poll plank of his party is the development of the State for which the party is striving from the day of inception and called upon the people to vote in favour of candidates of DPN.
