SRINAGAR, Jan 3: A gun battle has started between militants and security forces in Hadigam area of Kulgam district this evening.
A police official said that a joint team of police and Army launched a cordon and search operation in Hadigam.
As the security forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering off a gunfight.
