MENDHAR, Mar 19: Member Legislative Assembly, Mendhar, Javed Rana today said that peace has no alternate and all efforts should be made to silence guns on LoC as roaring guns are leading to bloodbath.
“Government cannot replace peace with any other thing and peace is the basic need of any society “Rana said while addressing people during a programme to inaugurate a road from main road to Salani area constructed under CD Fund and Convergence mode.
“I am inaugurating this road with heavy heart as we all have suffered a tragic loss of five members of family at Devta in Balakote yesterday ” MLA said.
Rana further asked both State and Central Government to give first priority to peace than to the development. “If in our society, people are loosing their lives, then what will we do by constructing roads and other utilities, ” Rana said.
“Its not a time for politics but it’s sad to observe that Government is least bothered about pain of border residents and leaders are issuing statements only,” Rana said adding that Central leaders should avoid issuing provocative statements.
