JAMMU, Oct 16: Accusing J&K opposition parties of trying to stoke the ongoing unrest in Kashmir valley, National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) has termed it ‘unfortunate’ that those who held power for long and are responsible for the problems in Kashmir, are now ‘adding fuel to the fire’.
NDPI J&K UT president, Rajesh Gupta in a statement said, “It is very unfortunate that those parties, who were in power for long and due to whom the Kashmir problem still exists, are now adding fuel to the fire there.”
He said the alliance of major political parties in Kashmir formed yesterday headed by National Conference president, Dr Farooq Abdullah and include signatories of so called Gupkar declaration are planning to ruin J&K again by instigating the youth of Kashmir on the name of Articles 35A and 370.
NDPI leader said the recent statement of Dr Farooq Abdullah is highly condemnable where in an interview he had said that what the Centre did on August 5, 2019, was unacceptable and hoped that Article 370 will be restored in the valley with China’s support.
“These so called Kashmiri leaders are very ungrateful towards our nation. They got name, fame and huge wealth by looting the country. They all are self centered,” NDPI leader maintained adding: “The former Chief Ministers and their sympathizers send their children abroad but encourage strife in the valley which has destroyed the tourist seasons and hit the common man hard.”
Gupta also said that there is a need for all political parties to speak in one voice to foil the conspiracy of GupkarAlliance which is primarily responsible for the unrest.
