REASI Dec 11: Seeking votes for the party candidates in Ransoo Pouni, J&K UT BJP chief, Ravinder Raina today said that it is the BJP which is facilitating the maiden DDC elections in J-K as its goal is the welfare of the commoners.
Addressing the series of meetings in different areas of Reasi, he said people of J&K got the chance of casting vote in DDC elections after the decade long struggle by BJP. Highlighting the public welfare programmes launched by Narendra Modi Government like construction of toilets for women, providing gas connections to poor women, opening cashless accounts for the poor in the country, he lambasted the Gupkar Alliance and said they don’t want the peace to be restored in the J&K and hence they are misleading the people by false propaganda.
He, while asking people to ensure victory of BJP in the ensuing elections, made it clear that this fight is between the nationalists and those who seek support from enemy. Accusing Congress of breeding corruption in the country during its rule, he warned corrupts will not be safe anymore. Attacking the NC and People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who are part of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), Raina said the leaders of the two parties did nothing for the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the last over 70 years.
Launching a blistering attack on the leadership of these two parties, he said they have ruled Jammu and Kashmir for the last 70 years along with Congress have done nothing for the development of the region.”Our rivals are running away from the word development because they have done nothing for the last 70 years. They are misleading the public after witnessing massive support and growing popularity of the BJP, he added.
They made no efforts to ensure development , he said. It is the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who is working for self esteem of poor and soon after coming to power in 2014, he started various programmes for poor so that they too can lead a self esteemed life. Gupkar Alliance is pro Pakistan. “The leaders of the Gupkar family, whether from Abdullah or Mufti families, have violated the rights of poor for 70 years. When these people were in power, they looted Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah and Mufti families destroyed Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
