Jammu, Nov 29: BJP State Spokesperson & State Media Incharge Arun Kumar Gupta strongly condemned the statement of senior Congress leader who alleged that BJP has exploited the people. Gupta alleged that Congress leaders do not know the real meaning of exploitation and they have exploited India and its citizens, since independence.
Arun Kumar Gupta said that Congress ruled for almost 60 years after independence and exploited the poor and innocent people of India. He said that if Congress has not exploited the people, they should not have lost the Lok Sabha elections so miserably. After Lok Sabha elections, Congress lost in Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly elections and slipped to the third position. “There was so much anger in the people against Congress that people did not even vote for them to be the largest opposition party” he added.
Gupta said that if we only consider corruption as the issue of exploitation, then there were numerous scandals during the UPA1 and UPA 2 government. “Who can forget Coal Gate Scam, 2G Spectrum, Common Wealth Games Scam, Adarsh Colony Scam and there are many more in the list” he said. He said “if we calculate the total amount of all the scams during UPA governments, surprisingly, the amount would be as large as Rs. 19,376,279,490,000”, “Can Congress answer as to where is this huge amount, looted from the poor citizens of India, when they were in power” he questioned”.
Gupta said that Congress supported corruption and the corrupt people from the day India got freedom, Recalling that in 1948, the Indian High Commissioner to Great Britain Krishna Menon, who was involved in Jeep Scandal, was openly supported by then Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. He said that corruption is rooted in the blood of the Congress leaders.
