JAMMU, June 10: President, Dogra Front and Shiv Sena Ashok Gupta flayed the Traffic Department for its failure in streamlining the vehicular movement in the winter capital.
He said this while addressing the gathering during a protest demonstration here today.
Gupta said that the tall claims of the Traffic Department and the concerned Ministry have proved failure, adding that at various locations, the traffic signals installed are non-functional. “Violation of the traffic rules and regulations is at high and needs immediate attention”, he asserted.
He urged the Government and the Traffic Department to look into the matter and work towards streamlining of the vehicular movement in the winter capital.
He also asserted that vehicular movement on various roads of the Jammu region is increasing day by day leading to traffic chaos and asked the Government to construct the sanctioned fly-overs at the earliest.
Among others who addressed the protestors were Vikram Sharma, Dhanatar Singh, Suram Singh, Rakesh Kumar and Ashish.
