JAMMU, May 19: Former Union Minister and MLA Jammu West Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta today inaugurated newly constructed community hall at Ambedkar Nagar near High Court Road falling in Ward 34 of Jammu West Constituency. The hall has been constructed by Jammu Municipal Corporation on recommendations of Prof. Gupta.
Senior Citizens, Management committee of community hall, Senior JKDF activists and other prominent persons of the area today witnessed the historic moment of dedicating the community hall in service of general ublic by Prof. Gupta. Anil Gupta (State President JKDF), Kapil Sharma (Joint Commissioner Administration, JMC), Anil Gupta ( Joint Commissioner Works, JMC), Dr Vinod Sharma (Medical Officer, JMC), and Sunil Gupta (Executive Engineer, works JMC) were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering Prof. Gupta said, “one of the long pending demand of people has been fulfilled. This community hall would cater the needs of people particularly poor ones who could not afford costly accommodation for performing their social and religious rituals.
Every possible effort is being made to mitigate the problems of Ward and people of the area. Various Developmental activities and Construction work on public demand have been taken over in different wards of Jammu West Constituency and same shall be completed at the earliest possible time, he said.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Anil Gupta (President JKDF) expressed his gratitude to Prof Gupta for his initiatives of carrying out developmental activities in Ward No. 34, he said many works like black topping of roads, construction of lanes, drains and electrical maintenance has been carried out in various wards on initiative of MLA.
