JAMMU, May 7: Former Union Minister and MLA, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta today released Rs. 10 lakh out of Constituency Development Fund as financial aid to Attam Valabh Jain Hospital, Talab Tillo, Jammu for construction of hall for physically challenged people in hospital Complex.
Attam Valabh Jain Hospital is providing the services of artificial limbs to poor and needy people who have lost the same due to some accident, disease, mine blowing or natural calamity. Being hospital closer to the Border area, large victims of mine blasts and border shelling are being provided the treatment and artificial limb replacement free of cost.
Speaking on the occasion Prof Gupta said, “by providing an artificial limb, we not only try to overcome the physical disability of a person, but also give them new hope for life and the confidence to rebuild his/her dreams.’’ He expressed the hope that Attam Valabh Jain Hospital will take this noble initiative to greater heights.
