JAMMU, June 15: Former Union Minister and MLA Jammu West Assembly Segment Prof Chaman Lal Gupta while lambasting the State Government for ignoring the Jammu people altogether reiterated that he along with six other BJP rebel MLAs will stage a dharna in front of Press Club against the callousness of the authorities towards the people of Jammu region.
Prof Gupta also extended appeal to Bar Association of Jammu, Chamber of Commerce and Industries, other social, religious and trade organizations as well as various biradaris of the Jammu region to take part in the demonstration and register their protest against the failure of State Government to concede their genuine demands of power and water supply.
He said the 10 hour power cuts coupled with hampering of the water supply has added to the miseries of the people in this hot Summer and forcing the people to come to streets in protest.
