JAMMU, May 5: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor of Ward number 5, Gopal Gupta along with Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma here today started construction work of retaining wall near Jama Masjid in Talab Khatika.
The works will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.70 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion Gupta said that construction of retaining wall was the long pending demand of the residents.
He said that several development works are in pipeline and will be taken up in a phased manner.
The JMC Councillor said that BJP believes in the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas’.
He asked the people of the area to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who is working hard to take the country to new heights.
Gupta assured the people that all the pending works of the Ward will be carried out on priority.
Deputy Mayor Purnima Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
Masjid Committee members Zahoor, Aashiq Hussian, Mubariz Khan, Farooq Salaria and other were also present on the occasion.
