NEW DELHI, May 28: Lethargic conditions depicted at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital as gur prices continued to be asked on previous closing levels in the absence of any worthwhile moving activities.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled on last closing levels in thin trade.
Marketmen said need base buying and adequate stocks, somewhat managed to hold gur prices at overnight levels.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, pedi Rs 3,450-3,550, dhayya Rs 3,600-3,700 and shakkar Rs 3,700-3,800.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,550-2,600, chakku Rs 2,900-3,025, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,025-3,125 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175. (PTI)
