Gur remains quiet in thin trade

NEW DELHI, Sept 10:  There was no change in the pattern of trading at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital as prices continued to enquire on last closing levels on little doings.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also remained quiet in thin trade.
Marketmen said small buying support due to off-season along with adequate stocks mainly kept gur prices unaltered.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,900-4,000, pedi Rs 4,000-4,100, dhayya Rs 4,100-4,200 and shakkar Rs 4,200-4,300.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,400-3,450, chakku Rs 3,425-3,500, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,700-3,800 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175. (PTI)
