Gur rule steady in restricted activity

NEW DELHI, May 10:  Steady conditions prevailed in the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market at national capital today with prices after moving both ways on alternate bouts of buying and selling, remained unchanged at previous levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also displayed a steady trend in the absence of worthwhile factors.
Marketmen said besides weak demand, negligible arrivals from manufacturing belts due to rising mercury, mainly kept gur prices on last levels.
Following are today’s rates per quintal:
Gur chakku 3,200-3,300, pedi 3,300-3,350, dhayya 3,500-3,600 and shakkar 3,500-3,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,600-2,650, chakku 2,750-3,100, khurpa 2,900-2,950 and Ladoo 2,950-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,950-3,000 and dhayya 3,050-3,100. (PTI)
