JAMMU, Sept 21: S Gurjeet Singh alias Vicky Proprietor of M/S Chenab Goods Carrier was elected as president of J&K Goods Carrier Association, the elections of which were held here today.
He defeated S Harbans Singh of M/S Quality Goods Carrier by a margin of 20 votes. Out of total 131 votes polled, Harbans Singh got 75 votes while 55 votes were polled in favour of Gurjeet Singh. The total votes were 134 but three members could not cast their vote.
Later addressing the members Mr Singh complimented them for their support and assured that he will work for the betterment of the Association.
