Vishav Mahapeeth at Haridwar

JAMMU, Dec 15: Balbir Ram Rattan, national secretary of Guru Ravidass Vishav Mahapeeth, attended one-day meeting of its national office bearers at Haridwar (Uttrakhand) today.
The meeting discussed early completion of the setting up of Mahapeeth teams at State levels across the country and also programmes being undertaken during the last two months to reach the Ramdasia Biradari and educate them about the teachings of great saint Guru Ravi Dass.
A booklet containing detailed activities at national level and in the states was released on this occasion.
Participants from different states of the country attended this meeting.
Dushyant Kumar Gautam, international president of this organization, who chaired the meeting, said that Guru Ravi Dass struggled throughout his life for social equality and justice to the downtrodden and poor. He said that the teachings of this saint are more relevant today when efforts are being made to divide the people in the name of religion, caste and region and it is duty of each one us to go to public to unite them so that the nation marches ahead by scaling heights in development, progress and peace.
He also stressed for devoting more time in spreading message of universal brotherhood as put forth by Guru Ravi Dass Ji.
Balbir in his address said that Guru Ravi Dass was opposed to any kind of discrimination among human beings and was for unity in the Hindu Samaj.
This meeting was also addressed by Mahapeeth national office bearers including its patron Dr. Anita Arya (Ex-MP), national president, Suresh Rathore (MLA), SC Commission national vice-chairman V.M. Murugan, senior vice-president, Atma Ram, national general secretaries Suraj Bhan Kataria, Suraj Kairo, secretaries Brijeshwar Nimmi and Vijay Premi, treasurer Dharamveer besides State presidents from Rajasthan, Punjab and other States.
