Gurudwara Sant Pura Danna celebrates ‘Safar-e- Shahadat’

JAMMU, Dec 21: Gurudwara Sant Pura Danna, Guru Nanak Nagar here is celebrating Safar-e-Shahadat to remember the martyrdom of four Sahebzadas-Baba Ajit Singh Ji, Baba Jhujar Singh Ji, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji and Mata Gujjari Ji between December 12 to 26, 1705 AD.
The martyrdom of the four Sahebzadas is an important part of Sikh history and the occasion of their martyrdom is remembered and commemorated both with great vigour and emotional feelings by all of Sikhs across the world every year in December.
In this regard special recitation of Gurubani is being organised at Gurudwara Sant Pura Danna which started on December 12 and will continue till December 26 from 7 pm to 8.30 pm.
Various Ragis and Parcharaks from different parts of the country are taking part in this programme.
Dera Mukhi, Sant Tejwant Singh Ji; president, S. Inder Singh; vice president, S. Jagjit Singh; secretary, Amrik Singh and Head Granthi, S. Kulwant Singh are the committee members who are making this celebration a success.
