JAMMU, Aug 17: Bus Stand Police arrested three habitual cheaters.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a man namely Ram Das, son of Shiv Ram of Chowki Choura with Police Station Bus Stand stating that three persons cheated him by giving with notes made by cutting the newspapers.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 36/2022 under Section 420 and 34 IPC was registered at Police Station Bus Stand and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Vishal Shoor and assisted by PSI Aqib Latif was constituted under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Kulbir Handa.
The team after analysing the CCTV cameras footages identified the cheaters and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Amit Mehra, son of Balvinder Singh of Bhagwati Nagar, Amit Balaoria, son of Prahlad Singh of Gole Pulli Talab Tillo and Khanmukh Singh alias Shippa alias Kaka, son of Dilbagh Singh of Toph Sherkhania.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested persons are habitual cheaters. Cases of different nature also stand against them in different police stations.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
