BEERWAH, Nov 16:   In a significant political development, Javed Ahmed Beigh, a senior leader of Hakim Yaseen’s PDF filed his nomination from Beerwah territory of Budgam DDC elections accompanied by hundreds of enthusiastic local youth and party workers.
The filing of nomination papers by Javed Ahmed Beigh of PDF assumes significance in the political scene of Central Kashmir, as constituent parties of so called “Gupkar Declaration” (PAGD ), namely  NC and PDP continue to enter into vicious fight over the distribution of DDC seats  in Central and rest of Kashmir Valley. In an embarrassment for the PDP, its local leader Nazir Ahmed Khan is reported to have quit PDP over his displeasure of PAGD’s selection of candidate for Beerwah.
While filing his nomination papers from Beerwah, Javed Beigh was flanked by senior party leaders and workers including PDF, party general secretary, Bashir Ahmad Gampori,  party District coordinator, Haji Bashir Ahmad Chewdari and senior party leader- Nisar Hussain and Ali Mohammad Dar besides other youth leaders.
Significantly in a sign of strong grass roots support, Javed Beigh’s filing of nomination papers was also accompanied by several prominent elected Panchayat members including, Sarpanch:  Mushtaq Ali Parra, Sarpanch: Fehmeeda, Deputy Sarpanch: Maqbool Ahmad Magray, Panch: Bashir Ahmad, Panch: Showkat Ahmad, Panch: Yawer Beigh: Panch: Firdous Ahmad and Panch: Feroz Ahmad. A large number of his followers and supporters, especially hundreds of local youth from Beerwah also accompanied Javed.
On this occasion Javed Beigh pledged to work for the people’s welfare and development of the Beerwah constituency. In a dig at constituent political parties of PAGD, who have been so far politically representing Beerwah, he reminded those who have exploited Beerwah that they won’t be given any chance to do so now that youth have taken the task of changing the destiny of Beerwah in their hands.
Beigh urged youth, women and elderly citizens from all communities including local Sikh community and Gujjar and Bakarwal Biradari to come forward and take the lead in the over all growth and development of Beerwah.
