JAMMU, Apr 14: Rangshala Sansthan today staged Rakesh ‘Mayus’s Hindi play Hamein Bhi Haqq Hai in Weekend Theatre Series at RTGS studio which was directed by Umesh Singh. The idea behind the today’s play fully revolved around the real life of the street children, which is deteriorating day by day due to illiteracy, mal nutrition, lack of proper knowledge/facilities loneliness bad habits, bad society, bad atmosphere etc.
This play is a ray of light for those children who actually belong to the slums but want to do some extra ordinary things like being a graduate/teacher/doctor/engineer or even a social worker who every times cautions the general masses to be aware of social evils like dowry system, smoking, drinking, untouchability, early child marriage, child labour.
Today’s play was a attempt to highlight the problems being faced by these children’s and what little we can do for these children’s, one should go for it whole heartily and sincerely.
Speaking on the occasion director of today’s play Umesh Singh said that planning was to do this play with actual street children but inspite of many attempts he was not able to bring them under one umbrella and then he decided to stage this play with the school going children who spell bound the audience by their acting.
Those who participated in today’s performance were Siddharth Singh, Abhisheik, Sahil, Vishal Kumar, Niraj Bhagat, Gourav Bhagat etc. Music was conceived and executed by Rakesh Mayus, Castumes by Sunita K Thakur, Set and prop by Nikhil Singh.
Mohan Lal Gupta, general secretary RTGS thanked the participants for their kind cooperation for making today’s play a great success.
