Hamid resigns from State Advisory Board

JAMMU, Feb 27: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Member, State Advisory Board for Gujjars and Bakerwals, Abdul Hamid Choudhary today resigned from the post of Member of J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Gujjars & Bakerwals with immediate effect.
In his resignation submitted to Commissioner/Secretary to Government, General Adminis-trative Department (GAD), Civil Secretariat, Jammu, Choudhary cited that he was nominated as member of the State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjars and Bakerwals vide Government Order No:-1266 – GAD of 2015 dated 17-09-2015 by the due recommendation of late Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
He said that looking at prevailing political situation in the State he deemed it inappropriate and against ethics to continue as the member of State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjars and Bakerwals and therefore resigned from the post on moral grounds.
