JAMMU, Sep 12: A handicapped beggar was crushed to death by a mini-bus at Bikram Chowk, here today.

According to police sources, the deceased was identified as Sameer, 25, son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Rajeev Nagar (Narwal). They said the beggar came under one of the wheels of the slow-moving mini-bus bearing registration number JK02BD-4549 when he was crossing the road by crawling.
Sources said the beggar died on the spot in the accident and his body was hand over to his family members after getting the autopsy conducted at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
In this connection, Gandhi Nagar Police had registered a case and started investigation while the mini-bus involved in the accident was also seized.
