A large number of handicapped persons assembled outside Press Club here under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Handicapped Welfare Association and held protest against the Government for not redressing their long pending demands. He demanded pension for the disabled persons, implementation of schemes for the welfare of handicapped persons through Social Welfare Department, one representative in the already constituted Expert Committee and Advisory Board under Disability Act 2016.
“We will celebrate World Disability Day falling on December 3 as black day viz hold protests in Jammu and Srinagar if our demands are not redressed”, he asserted.
