JAMMU, Apr 9: A delegation from Durga Nagar, Roop Nagar, Police Colony and Rajinder Nagar Ward No 64 led by Sheela Handoo BJP leader and ex-corporator called on PWD Minister, Abdul Majid Wani and apprised him of the demands of the people of the area.
The delegation informed the Minister that in most of the area there are no lanes, drains and road connectivity. The sewerage water is running on roads and enters into the compounds of houses resulting into a lot of insanitation leading to unhygienic conditions in the area.
The delegation informed the Minister that people in the area are facing lot of inconvenience due to lack of proper drainage system. The Minister issued directives to Chief Engineer PWD to look into the problems of the people in these localities.
