Handover Batote -Kishtwar road to reputed company: Bhandari

JAMMU, Apr 1: Expressing serious concern over the dilapidated condition of Batote -Kishtwar road  Congress leader and member civil society Kishtwar, Shamsher Singh Bhandari today demanded handing over of the road to a reputed construction company of the country.
He said the Highway is totally in a bad condition and immediate steps are needed for its four lanning after handing over it to a reputed construction company of the country which can ensure its competition within a record time.
Bhandari in an appeal to Governor urged him that immediate steps be taken to start the construction of this road which is the life line of Chenab Valley and people are facing many hardships as the road has now become a death trap.
Bhandari while highlighting the other problems of the people of the belt has urged the Government to restore the work on much talked about Rattle Power Project for employment generation in the area as well as boosting the power generation in the State. He also demanded that the work on other power projects be started in the Cehnab Valley belt which has a potential of generating about 20,000 mw of electricity.
