Haq, Ganga lay foundation of CFC

SAMBA, Nov 10:  Minister for Rural Development and Panchayti Raj, Abdul Haq and Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today laid foundation of Community Facility cum Training Centre at Panchayat Kartholi , Block Bari Brahmana.
Speaking on the occasion, the Rural Development Minister said that Rs 50 lakh will be spent on the CFC centre and further assistance be provided if necessary. He said that CFC centres will be established in every Assembly constituency and these could also be used for marriage functions, community and training programmes.
He said that RDD has cleared past liabilities of Rs 400 crore and Rs 2200 crore will be spent further in rural areas for connectivity, culverts, small bridges and other development purposes. He urged people to cooperate with the department in the My Village My World campaign and ensure development of rural areas, conservation of water bodies and ensuring polythene free environment in all the villages.
Later, 70 cheques amounting to Rs 8, 40,000 were also distributed to beneficiaries of Kartholi Panchayat who had completed toilet works under Swach Bharat Mission.
Among others the programme was also attended by DDC Samba Sheetal Nanda, SSP Samba Joginder Singh, Director RDD Jammu M.L Raina,ACD Samba Tilak Raj,BDO Bari Brahmana Aijaj Qaiser ,DPO Samba Deepak Dubey, BDOs ,sarpanches and local community members.
