RAMBAN, May 3: Mini-ster for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice, Abdul Haq Khan reviewed the physical and financial achievements made by the department during the financial year 2015-16 in a meeting held here today.
While reviewing the Panchayat wise plan of MGNREGA, the Minister directed the officers for ensuring proper and effective implementation of the various decisions taken during the previous financial year.
The Minister took a serious note of less number of man-days generated in all blocks and directed for initiating action against non performers. He also stressed for providing job cards to the targeted populace.
The minister directed the officers to make plans at Panchayat level for generating tangible assets like bridges, culverts, bridal paths, lanes and drains benefitting people living in rural and far flung areas.
Exhorting upon the officers of the department to put in sincere and dedicated efforts, the Minister directed for ensuring a public friendly environment in the offices so that services of the department are provided to rural people in a transparent and hassle free manner.
He also directed the concerned officers to ensure submission of Utilization Certificates (UCs) on time for the release of funds under State and Central Government schemes.
Regarding effective implementation of Convergence Plan, he directed the District Development Commissioner Ramban to ensure that the plan is prepared meticulously and executed in a proper manner .
MLA Ramban Neelam Langeh, MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani and MLA Gool Aijaz Ahmad Khan also raised issues of their respective constituencies during the meeting .
Meanwhile, the Minister also inaugurated bridges at Ramban and Batroo constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 18 lakh and Rs 11.42 lakh respectively and Pacca path at Ramsoo completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.00 lakh. He also inspected DD Thakur Community hall at Ukhral.
