JAMMU, July 9: A hardcore criminal arrested by RS Pura Police has been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA).
As per police sources, a hardcore criminal-cum-history sheeter namely Sunil Kumar alias Gokul, son of Tarsem Lal of Chak Aslam RS Pura was booked under PSA as he was carrying on such illegal activities that were disturbing peace in the society.
A special police team of PS RS Pura led by SHO Inspector Jai Pal Sharma was constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan.
The team raided the suspected locations and on the basis of specific inputs finally arrested the accused.
He was involved in 8 cases registered under various sections with Police Station RS Pura.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused was also involved in illegal trade of drugs and psychotropic substances.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
