SAMBA, Dec 9: In order to curtail the activities of hardcore criminal namely Rohit Kumar @ Makhan, son of Bodh Raj of Kotli Riyaan tehsil, R.S Pura, district Jammu who is involved in a number of criminal activities, a special team of Police Station (PS) Ramgarh under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Priyanka Kumari and SHO PS Ramgarh, Inspector, Asha Nand under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, was constituted and the hardcore criminal was arrested under PSA.
The accused is a habitual criminal and his criminal activities are posing a great threat to the public peace and tranquility. The criminal is involved in a number of heinous cases registered against him at Police Station Ramgarh, Samba and Bari-Brahmana of district Samba and at Police Station, RS Pura, Nawabad and Bishnah of district Jammu.
Keeping in view his repeated involvement in criminal activities, a dossier was prepared by Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba and forwarded to District Magistrate, Samba who formally issued the order of his detention under the PSA. The detention warrant was executed by a Police team headed by SHO PS Ramgarh today and the accused has been lodged in District Jail Jammu.
