JAMMU, Jan 9: Ranjeet Gurkha was elected as president of Shri Shri Jagat Amba Sharika Chakreshwar Sanstha, Hari Parbat Srinagar and Devi Angan, Paloura Dhok Jammu unopposed yesterday.
This was stated by Anita Chandpuri who was elected Election Officer by the Sanstha for conducting the elections.
Pradhaman Krishna Koul and Vijay Qazi were also elected unopposed as secretary and accountant respectively.
The last date of filing of nomination papers as per Election Officer was January 8 and only three forms of Gorkha, Koul and Qazi were received for the post of president, secretary and accountant who were declared elected unopposed by the Election Officer. No nomination paper was received for the post of vice president which has remained vacant.
