HARINAGAR, Mar 25: The residents of Haria-Chack, Marian near IB held a protest demonstration here today against the failure of security forces to check infiltration from across the border on this part of the State.
The protestors alleged that there were number of infiltrations from across the border since over one year for which the Government agencies have failed to maintain vigil. They further alleged that local police including other agencies are very active in controlling the bovine smuggling but have not been able to check the infiltration in their area and sneaking of Fidayeens from across the border.
People in this part are living in fear due to Fidayeen attacks and they added that even checking barriers are erected but their accountably should be fixed. They have also asked State as well as Central Government to formulate concrete steps to avoid such incident in future.
Police and Revenue official also visited the protest site and assured the protesters to stop such incidents in future.
