MENDHAR, July 4: Harmutta village in Mendhar area of district Poonch is facing acute shortage of ration.
The village Sarpanch said that for the last one month there is no supply of ration in the area. For the coming Eid festival as well, the CAPD officials concerned have failed to ensure supply of ration to the public of this belt. He said that the only ration depot , often remains closed and people have strong resentment against the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, the sugar supply has been restored by the CAPD authorities in Mendhar Sub Division but the people alleged that instead of 500 gm levy sugar per soul, the ration dealers were giving only one kilogram sugar per ration card. The dealers alleged that concerned CAPD officials at Mendhar were providing less quota on the plea that they have not received full quota from Jammu stores.
