JAMMU, Feb 7: Expressing serious concern over the deteriorating security situation in the State and Kashmir in particular, Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman JKNPP and former Minister admonished the BJP-PDP combine for placating and appeasing the secessionist and subversive forces in the Valley which had immensely emboldened the militants to execute their nefarious designs.
Addressing a public gathering at village Makhanpur in Bishnah today, he said that the BJP which always trumpeted itself as ‘messiah’ of Jammu Pradesh holding nationalist character had miserably surrendered and bartered away the aspirations of the Dogras to its Kashmir centric ally for the sake of power. The treachery of the Saffron party over its kernel philosophy had paved way for the rehabilitation of stone pelters, besides surrendered militants while the discrimination with the Jammu youth in the sphere of employment soared, and other sects including the border dwellers, farmers, traders, businessmen, etc. of the region also bore the brunt of the Saffron acquiesce, he added.
Surprised over the shocking shoot out at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar on Tuesday, Harsh Dev said that the bizarre incident had sent shock waves all across the State during which the terrorists gunned down two policemen and managed to take away from their custody one of the dreaded LeT Dy. Commander Naveed Jhaat alias Abu Hanzala. He said that the State had been witnessing anarchy ever since the sinister alliance had assumed power where the militants and the anti-nationals were ruling the roost while the security personnel were manhandled, heckled, slapped and humiliated by the subversives in the Valley.
He said that the impuissance of the BJP at the Centre in dealing with the secessionist forces and the State Government registering FIRs against the Army in the Valley had also given an opportunity to Pakistan for executing its nefarious designs on our soil. He said that the rogue nation had been pounding the border hamlets persistently all across the IB and the LoC with mortar shells and missiles taking a heavy toll on our security personnel besides causing huge damage to lives of border dwellers, cattle stock and crops.
Yashpaul Kundal while addressing the local issues said that Makhanpur and other adjacent villages were facing shortage of health care facilities. He said that the roads were lying in the dilapidated condition and the shortage of power and water supply had also added to the woes of the people which needed a special attention of the local administration.
