JAMMU, Dec 28: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Chairman, National Panthers Party (NPP) Harshdev Singh expressed concern over the total breakdown of educational set up in the State.
He said that educational activity had become the major causality of bureaucratic red tape and discriminatory policies of Government resulting in collapse of State as well as Centrally sponsored schemes in education sector.
He said that schools in the remote area had almost become defunct due to staff paucity and non availability of teaching faculty and the Government is not paying any heed towards that.
Singh also condemned the Government for unprovoked and unjustified police action on the peacefully demonstrating ReTs and EVs.
Terming the Police action as highly undemocratic and draconian act, Singh called for enquiry and appropriate action against the delinquent police officers.
Supporting the cause of ReTs and EVs, Singh urged upon the Government to hold negotiations with them for early redressal of their genuine demands.
