JAMMU, Mar 25: Accusing the BJP of adopting the policy of duplicity, deceit and double standards, Harshdev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister has questioned the presence of a Union BJP Minister in a function organized by Pak High Commission in New Delhi on Pakistan Day with Hurriyat and other separatist leaders being the special invitees on the occasion.
Singh lambasted the BJP for its participation in the said function along with Hurriyat leaders more especially at a time when Pakistan had obnoxiously violated our territory integrity.
He said that rather than conveying to Pakistan in strong terms, the nations’ outrage and anger over Pak’s misadventures, the BJP Government chose to make its Union Minister as the chief guest on Pak day with PM Narendra Modi exchanging greetings with Nawaz Sharief.
He cautioned the BJP that its utter lack of consistency, its all round surrender and its ideological retreat would cost the Saffron Party its postal address in the days to come.
Meanwhile, Panthers Party activists led by Provisional President NPP Rajesh Padgotra and other senior leaders staged a protest in front of the Divisional Commissioner’s office against the threat calls to Harshdev Singh and other NPP leaders. The protestors demanded immediate probe against the culprits behind.
Later, a team of senior leaders submitted a detailed memorandum to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu addressed to Chief Minister mentioning details of the sequence of incidents, names of the criminal suspects and the mobile numbers with a copy marked to the Governor J&K State and the DGP, J&K State respectively appealing the authorities to take cognizance of the criminal activities and necessary appropriated action as warranted by the law in view of the imminent threat to the lives of JKNPP leaders including the Chairman and Former Minister Harshdev Singh. NPP delegation further sought provision of adequate security to all senior Panthers Party leaders including its State level, Provincial as well as district level office bearers.
Among others present were Pushvinder Singh Manhas, senior vice president, Young Panthers, Virender Singh , State President NPSU, Neeraj Gupta, Zonal President NPP, Shanker Singh Chib, Pawan Dev Singh, Khajur Singh, Asha Rani, Sham Gorkha, Vinod Singh, etc.
