Harshdev moots Board for Mata Pingla Shrine

RAMNAGAR, Oct 14: Former Minister and MLA Ramnagar Harsh Dev Singh has advocated for bringing the revered cave shrine of Mata Pingla Devi under the administration of the Board for its holistic development.
Addressing public at the concluding day of the yatra to the holy cave shrine at Ramnagar here this evening, Harshdev promised of strenuous efforts for bringing the shrine under the management of a Board, the one similar on the pattern of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji. He proposed presentation of the private member bills during the forthcoming Assembly session for bringing the shrine under the Board as also for its inclusion in the Tourism Map of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the occasion, Mr Harshdev presented the OP Jandial Sadhbhavana Puraskar to J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra, an organization espousing the cause of deaf and dumb in the State. The award carries a citation and undisclosed cash prize. The prestigious Akhand Jyoti Saman during the 27th Navratra Festival was bagged this year by yet another social organization namely, Shiv Lok Trust.
Organizer Akhand Jyoti Committee, Ramnagar Vinay Jandial informed that this year during the Navratras over 72,000 devotees from within and outside the state performed darshans at the holy cave shrine to invoke the divine blessings of the deity.
Earlier, Harshdev presented Dance Competition awards among the competitors. The first prize in the competition was bagged by Salooni Thakur while the second prize was clinched by Vabhya Mahajan and third by Anju.
