JAMMU, Mar 2: Haryana Governor, Bandaru Dattatreya has unveiled the latest edition of LED ‘Pratima’ of Mata Kheer Bhawani and also given his consent to attend Saptrishi Samvat Navreh programme to be held in Srinagar on April 9, 2024.
The invitation to be the chief guest of April 9 programme and also for a visit to Mata Kheer Bhawani temple for having darshan of the Goddess was extended to Dattatreya by Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj (VKS).
The VKS delegation was led by its convenor, Kiran Wattal and Dr Raj Nehru, Vice-Chancellor of Vishwakarma Skill Development University. Other delegation members included Kashmir Peace Lovers (KPL) office bearers – Pankaj Dhar, Rajender Jalali (president) and Ajay Pandita (secretary).
On the occasion, Dattatreya unveiled the latest edition of Mata Kheer Bhawani’s LED Pratima with MP3 system.
As per a VKS handout, the Haryana Governor accepted its invitation to attend its Saptrishi Samvat Navreh programme to be held at a historical site in Srinagar on April 9. He would also visit the pious temple of Mata Kheer Bhawani to have darshans of the Goddess.
The Saptrishi Samvat Navreh marks the traditional Kashmiri New Year and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence by the Kashmiri Pandit community.
On the occasion, Saptrishi Samvat-based calendar for 5100 and Vijayeshwer Almanac shall also be released. An exhibition of more than 300 rare manuscripts of Sharda literature would also be inaugurated.
The event would be followed by a darshan at the highly revered Mata Kheer Bhawani temple, known for its spiritual significance and historical importance, Wattal informed.
