Hasplote-Dhoke road incomplete since 2010

RAJOURI, July 9: The 10 kilometres PMGSY road from Hasplote to Dhoke could not be completed even in ten long years.
According to locals of the area, the road is being constructed at a cost of over Rs 11 crores under the Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana but even after spending crores of rupees no progress has been seen on this road. Concerned department had completed cutting/earth work on this road in 2010-11 and after that some mettle work was done but there after the work was abandoned. Now, this road has become dilapidated and the condition of the road has become very bad.
Locals alleged that the department was supposed to construct 19 culvets and two bridges on the road under PMGSY. Due to non-construction of drains, breast walls and retaining wallas and culverts, the condition has turned worst. Whose project amount claimed to have been exhausted by the Department.
Mohammad Ayub Panch, Mohammad Riaz- Panch and Mohammad Razzaq Chaudhry, social worker, said that no protection walls have been constructed on this road at any place. The lands of people have been badly damaged. The locals sought intervention of LG’s administration towards this issue.
