NEW DELHI, Mar 14: Mohd Hassan Pasha, BJP State media secretary, Union Territory of Ladakh today called on Captain Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, at his residence in New Delhi- and discussed about matters of Sodh block in district Kargil UT-of Ladakh with him which remained un-solved till date.
He demanded Sub-division status for Sodh block , reactivation of Lift Irrigation Project Sodh block and special package for Sodh block which is facing unprecedented drought. He urged the Union Minister to declare Sodh block as a famine-hit.
He said that the Sodh region was being continuously ignored by the successive Governments. The people of the region were hopeful that the Ladakh-UT administration under the supervision of R.K Mathur will give justice to the downtrodden people of the Sodh region.
Captain Anurag Singh Thakur listened all issues and assured the BJP leader to help in every way possible to provide help to the Ladakh region and its people, especially the Sodh block District Kargil-Ladakh. Captain Anurag Thakur, said that soon he would be visiting Kargil-Ladakh himself and look into the issues facing the people. In accordance to other issues, he indicated that the issues would be discussed with the concerned departments and will be resolved at any cost.
He said that the UT-Ladakh administration, under the supervision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi was committed to the welfare of the Kargil district people.
Mohd Hassan Pasha appealed Captain Anurag Singh Thakur to visit Ladakh in general and Kargil in particular so that he can consider all the issues and various other issues faced by the Kargil and Leh districts at the ground level.
