‘Hate words’ by AAP MLA widely condemned

JAMMU, Mar 21: Different organisations here today condemned the controversial remarks of AAP MLA, Mehraj Malik for hurting the sentiments of Hindus.
Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta strongly condemned the hate words of AAP MLA, Mehraj Malik and termed it as cheap public stunt to garner attention. Kavinder called upon the public to exercise caution and remain vigilant against such individuals and groups attempting to sow discord within society and stressed on the importance of unity and collective resilience in thwarting efforts aimed at dividing communities.
Workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena here today under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta staged a protest demonstration and torched the effigy of MLA Mehraj Malik for his offensive remarks against Hindu community. Addressing the protesters, Gupta said that words of Malik have hurt the sentiments of Hindus and his hate statement is an attempt to create communal discord for which he must apologise immediately. Gupta also said that Malik belongs to AAP which has drafted and implemented the new liquor policy in Delhi reducing the drinking age from 25 to 21 and the remarks of Malik have exposed his dual face.
Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit has condemned the controversial remarks of AAP MLA, Mehraj Malik for liquor consumption among Hindus. Sahni said that number of liquor shops are continuously increasing in Hindu dominated areas for which BJP is equally guilty along with the Kashmiri rulers.
Hindustan Shiv Sena State president, Vikrant Kapoor has condemned AAP MLA Mehraj Malik for anti-Hindu remarks and said that Malik should desist from hurting mutual brotherhood in Jammu. Kapoor also said that Malik should publicly apologize for hurting the sentiments of Hindus. He said that there is no place for such hate statements in a civilized society.
