RAJOURI, Dec 19: A police constable died after falling from the roof top of the family quarter inside the District Police Lines (DPL) Rajouri this morning.
According to the police, Hawaldar Nazir Ahmed, a resident of Budhal, who was posted in the DPL Rajouri, fell down from the roof of his own family quarter on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday and became unconscious after receiving a severe injury on his head.
He was immediately shifted to GMC Rajouri where the doctor declared him as brought dead. After conducting the post-mortem of the body and completing other legal formalities in GMC Rajouri, the body was handed over to the family members for performing last rites.
