JAMMU, Nov 27: All J&K Housing Board Daily Rated Worker Union, today held two hours protest demonstration in front of office of the Managing Director, J&K Housing Board, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The protest demonstration was held in support of the long pending demands of daily rated workers. Suraj Parkash, president of the union, expressed his grief for not redressing the grievances of the poor workers. They stressed for conceding the long pending demand for regularization of all Daily Rated Workers as per Municipal pattern, as committed by the Government as well as management.
The president said that it is unfortunate that daily wage employees of the Housing Board recruited before and after 1994 have not been regularized, which was grave injustice with poor section of the employees working on meager wages for over 18 years.
The union leader hoped that long standing grievances of the daily rated workers would be considered without further delay failing which the union will be forced to resume the agitation.
Similar protest demonstrations were also held in Valley.
