HC arrested for implicating two persons falsely in accident case

JAMMU, Oct 5: Police today arrested a Head Constable (HC) for implicating two persons into an accident case.
Police spokesman said that, an accident took place on September 12, in which a pedestrian was injured, after being hit by an unknown Santro car near Panama Chowk. He was later admitted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
In this regards a case under FIR number 178/ 12 was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and the investigation was handed over to Head Constable (HC) Abdul Rashid, spokesman added.
HC arrested Mohd Hanief, owner of a tipper (JK20-0983) and conductor Raiz, both resident of Kathar, Rajouri, and implicated in the accident case, he said.
During investigation, it came to fore that HC had implicated both driver and conductor into accident case as HC was having any old enmity with the owner of the tipper.
The case was brought into the notice of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jammu, Prabhat Singh, who ordered preliminary enquiry and action against HC, if found guilty.
On the written complaint of owner of the tipper, Abdul Hanief, preliminary investigation was conducted SDPO City East SS Sambyal and SHO Police Station Trikuta Nagar.
During investigation, the said HC was found guilty and case under FIR number 189/ 12 has been registered in Police Station Bahu Fort, spokesman said, adding, that further investigation into the case is going on.
